Happy Birthday, Dr. Obinna Lyiegbu ( Obi Cubana )

The name Obi Cubana is once again everywhere and this time, it’s because of his grand 50th birthday celebration. From luxury gifts to viral moments, "obi cubana birthday" has taken over social media in Nigeria, showing why the nightlife king remains one of the most talked-about figures in the country.

A Birthday Like No Other

The celebration kicked off in Abuja on April 12, with events running for days. It all started with a pre-birthday night hosted by Samsung Nigeria, where 50 guests received the latest Samsung S25 phones. This was just the beginning.

The main party at Transcorp Hilton Hotel was pure luxury black, white, and gold décor, huge portraits of Obi Cubana, crystal chandeliers, and a sea of celebrity faces.

But it wasn’t only about glam. The day started with a Holy Communion and Thanksgiving service, showing Cubana’s spiritual side. Later, singers like Anyidons performed live, including a tribute song titled “Obi Cubana Special (Okpole Nwa Mama)”.

🎁 Gifts That Got People Talking

Social media blew up when guests saw the kind of gifts Cubana received:

  • 50 new tricycles from Enviable Transport

  • 50 minibuses from CIG Motors

  • 2,000 cartons of tomatoes from Sonia Foods

  • 50 Bibles, 50 rams, and more

His wife, Ebele “Lush Eby” Iyiegbu, also gave out dresses, wigs, and bags to 50 women as her own way of spreading joy.

And then came the viral moment: Pretty Mike walked in with 50 women dressed like accident victims complete with fake bandages. Some called it creative. Others said it was too much. Either way, it added more fire to the trending topic.

All the Stars Were There

The guest list was full of top names. Kanayo O. Kanayo, Cubana Chief Priest, Zubby Michael, Peter Obi, AY Makun, and many more were spotted.

One video caught fans’ attention: Obi Cubana quietly told his son to stand and greet Peter Obi properly. That moment earned him big praise for teaching respect and good values.

Even Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo sent in a message calling him a "distinguished son of the state."

Cubana’s birthday trended not just because of its size, but because it tells a deeper story. From a political science graduate to a billionaire businessman, Obi Cubana built the Cubana Group a brand in nightlife, real estate, and beverages like Odogwu Bitters.

And just like his mother’s unforgettable 2021 funeral, this event was well-planned to go viral.

What It Really Means

In a time when many Nigerians are struggling, some questioned the public display of wealth. But others saw it as a symbol of success proof that with vision and hard work, anything is possible.

His campaign “Golden Age with Gold Bar”, where artists had a chance to win ₦2 million and a luxury car, shows he's still supporting young talent.

As videos of the night continue to trend rumors of Burna Boy, a killer set from Flavour, and nonstop dancing one thing’s clear:
