Police arrest two suspects after Martha Ahumuza dies mysteriously at a Kololo bar; investigations and tests are ongoing.
Martha's Burial in Mbarara

Police in Kampala are investigating the sudden death of Martha Ahumuza, who passed away earlier this week after drinking something at Mezo Noir Bar and Restaurant in Kololo.

Witnesses say Martha was happy and lively earlier that evening, which makes her unexpected death even more shocking. Not long after taking a drink, she reportedly collapsed and died at the high-end bar, leading police to begin an urgent investigation.

Authorities have now arrested two men believed to be connected to what happened. "We are holding two suspects to assist with inquiries, and further arrests are possible as we follow the evidence," said a police spokesperson.

The police say their officers are working hard to find out what truly happened. "Our team is working around the clock to uncover the truth behind this tragic incident."

To help with the investigation, the bar has been closed so that police can collect evidence, talk to staff, and review security camera footage. They are also waiting for toxicology tests to see if Martha’s drink may have been poisoned.

The case has caused strong reactions from the public and from Martha’s family, who are demanding answers. "We won’t rest until we know exactly what happened to Martha," a family representative stated.

As people continue to follow the case closely, many are calling for openness and justice. The police have asked anyone with helpful information to speak up and promised to keep their identity private.

Martha Ahumuza’s death remains a mystery, but many are hoping the truth will come out soon to give peace to her loved ones.
