Kayihura dismisses claims of struggling, says he walks by choice and focuses on farming after charges were dropped.
Retired General Kale Kayihura

Retired General Kale Kayihura has responded to a viral photo of him walking in Kampala, saying it was misleading. He explained that the picture made it seem like he was struggling or alone, but in reality, his security team was nearby.

Kayihura clarified that he was simply walking due to heavy traffic as he was trying to reach a meeting on time. He assured the public that he is now living as a private citizen and is focused on his farm in Lyantonde District. There, he takes care of goats, cows, and also produces yoghurt.

Since the charges against him were dropped last year, many people have shown interest in his movements. His presence at different government and social events has sparked rumors about a possible return to politics or connections with figures like Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

However, Kayihura dismissed these claims, saying he is free to live the way he wants. He pointed out that his simple lifestyle is not new, as he has been managing his farm for years. He also reminded people that he can choose to walk whenever he likes.
