Nigeria’s Super Eagles Retain 39th Spot in Latest FIFA Men's Rankings

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have maintained their position at 39th in the latest FIFA men's global rankings, released on Thursday.

During the ranking review period, the Super Eagles played two key matches as part of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. They secured a dominant 3-0 victory against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic, followed by a goalless draw against Rwanda’s Amavubi.

Despite the mixed results, the Super Eagles remain the sixth-highest ranked team in Africa. The continent's top five teams are Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire, and Tunisia.
