Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund meet again on Tuesday in a rematch of last season's Champions League final, where Los Blancos secured their 15th European Cup, leaving Dortmund to rue missed chances.

Real Madrid’s Champions League campaign has hit a bump this season, with a surprising loss to Lille on matchday two. Despite this, they secured a 3-1 win over Stuttgart in their opener. In La Liga, Ancelotti’s side has managed to bounce back with wins over Villarreal and Celta Vigo, but they haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last five Champions League home matches.

Dortmund arrives in Madrid fresh off a 7-1 thrashing of Celtic, where Karim Adeyemi bagged a hat-trick. However, Adeyemi is now sidelined with a hamstring injury, leaving a gap in Dortmund’s attack. Despite their success in Europe, their domestic form has been inconsistent, with recent away losses to Stuttgart and Union Berlin.

Dortmund has never won at the Bernabeu, and with Real Madrid only missing a few players like Dani Carvajal, the Spanish side is well-positioned to extend that streak. Meanwhile, Dortmund will have to adapt to injuries, including those to Adeyemi and Giovanni Reyna.

Prediction: Real Madrid 1-0 Borussia Dortmund.
