Sevilla's latest addition, Nigerian striker Kelechi Promise Iheanacho, made his debut wearing the Sevilla kit in a pre-season match against Liverpool at Anfield, according to Soccernet.ng. The 27-year-old forward recently signed with the Spanish club on a free transfer after concluding a seven-year tenure with Leicester City.

During the game, Iheanacho started as Sevilla's central striker but was substituted at halftime following a challenging first half where Liverpool secured a 3-0 lead. The goals for Liverpool were scored by Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz, who netted twice.

In a strategic move at halftime, Sevilla introduced another Nigerian, Chidera Ejuke, who immediately impacted the game. Ejuke showcased his skills by maneuvering past Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold and assisted Gerard Fernandez, who scored a consolation goal for Sevilla.

Ejuke's performance was a highlight in the second half, adding dynamism to Sevilla's offensive play. Despite the efforts, the match underscored areas for potential improvement for Iheanacho as he adjusts to his new team.

Sevilla is set to begin their La Liga campaign on Friday with an away game against Las Palmas at The Gran Canaria Stadium. Fans and analysts will be keen to see how both Nigerian internationals integrate and perform in the competitive matches ahead.
