Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admitted his team is struggling to score goals following their 4-1 loss to Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League on Tuesday night. This was City’s third consecutive defeat across all competitions.

Viktor Gyokeres scored a hat-trick for Sporting, while Erling Haaland missed a late penalty when the score was 3-1. Guardiola noted that City had a strong first half but is currently facing difficulties in finishing.

“We had a fantastic first half, but now we are struggling to score. We create chances and still concede, even when the opponents aren’t doing much,”

Guardiola said.

He added that City needs better emotional stability to compete effectively.

“At 2-1, anything can happen. We need to be more emotionally stable,”

he said.
