Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang advises Eddie Nketiah to leave Arsenal for Marseille, with the French club willing to pay £17 million. Will Nketiah follow in Aubameyang's footsteps? Find out the latest transfer news and updates on this potential move

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has urged Eddie Nketiah to leave Arsenal and join Marseille, a move that could see the young forward follow in his former teammate's footsteps. Marseille has reportedly expressed their willingness to pay £17 million for Nketiah, a price that might prompt Arsenal to consider the sale.

Nketiah had a strong start to last season, scoring his first career hat-trick in a 5-0 victory over Sheffield United in October. These goals marked his third, fourth, and fifth league strikes of the campaign. However, his scoring streak ended shortly after, and he, along with Gabriel Jesus, found themselves sidelined by Kai Havertz by the season's end.

With Arsenal seeking new forward talent, Nketiah's potential departure from the Emirates has been a topic of speculation. Marseille has emerged as a frontrunner in the race for his signature, potentially aided by Aubameyang, who has played for both clubs.

Aubameyang confirmed on social media that he has already encouraged Nketiah to join the French side. Given his experience and connection to both clubs, Aubameyang's opinion could significantly influence Nketiah's decision. Although Arsenal and Marseille have yet to agree on a transfer fee, ongoing talks suggest a resolution might be near.

Marseille's £17 million offer could be enough to convince Arsenal to part with Nketiah. If he moves, Nketiah will be following a path similar to Aubameyang's, who transitioned from Arsenal to Marseille before moving to Al Qadsiah. Aubameyang's tenure at Marseille included 51 games, 30 goals, and 11 assists, a record that Nketiah might aspire to emulate.

As negotiations continue, Arsenal fans and football enthusiasts alike will be watching closely to see if Nketiah heeds Aubameyang's advice and makes the switch to Marseille.
