Fulham manager Marco Silva has highlighted Alex Iwobi’s importance to the team’s progress this season.

Following a 2-0 win against Crystal Palace on Saturday, Fulham moved up to eighth in the Premier League. Iwobi played a crucial role in the victory, assisting Harry Wilson's second goal.

The Nigerian international has contributed two goals and two assists for Fulham this season. Speaking after the game, Silva expressed his appreciation for Iwobi’s performances.

“Alex, for example, is being one of the best players so far this season, if not the best. From the first day of the pre-season, he’s been so, so brilliant,”

Silva said.

Silva also noted Wilson’s efforts, mentioning that he is competing well with other skilled players in the squad.
