Harry Kane stole the show with a four-goal performance, cementing his status as one of Europe's most feared strikers. Bayern's attacking firepower was relentless, with further goals from Raphael Guerreiro and Leroy Sané contributing to the rout. Zagreb managed two consolation goals, but they were thoroughly outplayed by a Bayern side brimming with confidence.

Elsewhere in the Champions League, Liverpool continued their strong start with a 3-1 victory away at AC Milan, while Aston Villa made a triumphant return to Europe with a commanding 3-0 win over Young Boys. Juventus also secured an impressive 3-1 win against PSV Eindhoven, and Real Madrid comfortably beat VfB Stuttgart 3-1 to maintain their dominance.

EFL Cup: Manchester United Run Riot Against Barnsley

Over in England, Manchester United put on a goal-scoring clinic in the EFL Cup, defeating Barnsley 7-0 in a completely one-sided affair at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag’s men showed no mercy, with a mix of youth and experience dismantling the League One side. This result comes as a morale-boosting win for United, who are keen to regain domestic silverware following a rocky start to their Premier League campaign.

Brentford also advanced in the EFL Cup with a 3-1 win over Leyton Orient, while Crystal Palace edged past QPR 2-1. The clash between Fulham and Preston North End went to penalties after a 1-1 draw, with Fulham emerging victorious, while Southampton knocked out Everton in another tense shootout.

Fans are eagerly anticipating how the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester United will carry this momentum into the next round of fixtures.
