Chelsea remains determined to secure the signing of Victor Osimhen from Napoli before the summer transfer window closes. According to Ben Jacobs, the London club is currently engaged in last-minute negotiations with the 25-year-old Nigerian striker regarding personal terms.

The Blues are keen to reach an agreement with Osimhen before submitting a formal bid to Napoli. However, the deal hinges on whether the striker's wage demands align with Chelsea's existing wage structure. Ensuring this alignment is crucial for the transfer to proceed smoothly.

On the other hand, Napoli is anticipating an offer from Chelsea for their star forward. The Serie A club is prepared to negotiate, but it remains uncertain whether Chelsea will follow through with an official bid. The urgency for a reliable goalscorer is evident, as Nicolas Jackson has struggled to meet expectations, making the acquisition of a proven striker a top priority for the club.

While Victor Osimhen remains a primary target, Chelsea is also monitoring other options, including Brentford’s Ivan Toney. The club’s decision to advance with the Osimhen deal will depend largely on the financial feasibility of the move.
