Fulham opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a skillful play by Adama Traore, who assisted Emile Smith Rowe. Smith Rowe executed a precise shot into the right corner, surpassing Leicester’s goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.

However, Leicester responded with an equalizer at the 38th minute mark as Wout Faes headed in from a corner, directing the ball into the left side of the net.

The match's turning point came in the 70th minute when Iwobi, skillfully set up by Antonee Robinson, found the net with a well-placed finish to the left corner, securing the lead for Fulham. Earlier, Rodrigo Muniz nearly extended Fulham’s advantage but his attempt soared just over the crossbar in the 49th minute.
