Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent his congratulations to President-Elect John Dramani Mahama
Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent his congratulations to President-Elect John Dramani Mahama on winning the 2024 general elections.
In his letter, Putin emphasized the strong and positive relationship between Russia and Ghana. He expressed his commitment to maintaining and improving the ties between the two countries.
Putin also shared confidence in Mahama's leadership, saying it will help strengthen the existing partnerships between the two nations.
He stated:
“Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of Your election as the President of the Republic of Ghana. The Russian-Ghanaian relations have traditionally been of a friendly nature. I believe that Your work as the Head of State will contribute to the further development of a mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in various fields,” the letter said.
As a gesture of goodwill, Putin wished Mahama and his government success and good health. He ended by saying:
“I wish you every success as well as good health and wellbeing.”
