On Wednesday, DR Congo's President Félix Tshisekedi arrived in Entebbe, Uganda, for a brief working visit with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni. After being welcomed by Uganda’s Minister of Defense, Jacob Oboth-Oboth, Tshisekedi met Museveni at State House Entebbe, where they held private talks focused on security in Eastern DR Congo.
Their discussions likely included joint military actions by DR Congo’s Armed Forces (FARDC) and Uganda’s People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) against ADF rebels in North Kivu and Ituri, as well as the M23 rebellion’s impact on North Kivu. They also planned to discuss joint road infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing trade and security, which have faced setbacks due to regional instability.
