During an interactive session with fans on his verified X handle on Thursday, June 20, the acclaimed 'Essence' singer, Wizkid, shared exciting details about his forthcoming album, 'Morayo'.


In a recent interview with Esquire, Wizkid explained the inspiration behind the album's name. He revealed that 'Morayo', which means 'I see joy' in Yoruba, is named after his mother.


Earlier in the day, Wizkid stirred conversations on X with a cryptic hint about potentially starting a church. This sparked a flurry of reactions from his 13.1 million followers, with the discussion quickly branching out into various topics.


One follower, Chima Derah, asked about the album's release date: "When is Morayo coming???" Wizkid responded enthusiastically,

"Best I ever made! Anytime now ❤️."

Wizkid, who currently boasts five albums – 'Superstar' (2011), 'Ayo' (2014), 'Sounds from the Other Side' (2017), 'Made in Lagos' (2020), and 'More Love, Less Ego' (2022) – is presently in Paris, France, attending the Louis Vuitton runway show.
