The African Development Bank (AfDB) has granted Morocco a €120 million loan to bolster governance and resilience against climate-related disruptions.

This funding is aimed at supporting the Moroccan government's efforts to implement reforms that will revitalize the economy and strengthen its capacity to withstand external shocks, especially those linked to environmental challenges.

The initiative also seeks to enhance the public sector's regulatory role, ensuring it continues to act as a catalyst for private investment and economic competitiveness. By promoting sustainable development, the program aims to mitigate the volatility of Morocco's macroeconomic framework in response to external influences.

Additionally, the AfDB's support will focus on improving the performance of the water sector and creating a conducive environment for the growth of renewable energies. These measures are intended to help Morocco achieve long-term stability and sustainability in the face of ongoing and future challenges.
