Paul Kagame and his Government Sanctions Belgium

Rwanda has decided to suspend its development cooperation with Belgium after Brussels took DR Congo’s side in the ongoing conflict.


This means Rwanda will no longer be expecting the €95 million aid that Belgium had pledged. The two countries had previously signed a funding agreement for the 2024-2029 period, but Kigali has now put it on hold.
